Vice President of Business Development, Chicago
Mike is a Vice President at AZA Capital Management and co-head of the firm’s Chicago office.
In his role, Mike helps facilitate the growth of AZA’s Chicago presence through new business development, existing client relationships and helps manage the firm’s strategic relationships. Opened in October 2009, the firm’s Chicago office has experienced rapid growth in both client accounts and numerous strategic partnerships. As part of TD Ameritrade’s Advisor Direct program, AZA Capital has established a significant and growing presence in the Chicago market. Mike joined AZA Capital in August 2009.
Prior to joining AZA, Mike worked for Sheridan Road Financial, an independent investment firm specializing on the retirement plan market. In his role at Sheridan Road, Mike helped secure new clients and helped build the firm’s private equity consulting practice. From that experience, Mike has a wealth of relationships throughout the private equity space. During his time at Sheridan Road (2006-2009), the firm grew its asset base from $200 million to over $1 billion.
From 1999-2006, Mike worked for Marquette Partners, a proprietary futures and options trading firm. While working for Marquette, he helped facilitate the growth of their London office, where he worked for over two years. During his time in London, Marquette experienced its highest degree of profitability in firm history. Mike has experience trading in a variety of markets including: MIB 30, FTSE 100, CAC 40, STOXX 50, S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrials and the US 5, 10 & 30 year debt markets.
Mike received his bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University, where he was a member of the baseball team. He is also a member of the Union League Club of Chicago.
